SLB to go|SLB To Go Episode 5 Episode

D.C. Fitzgerald, longtime SLB performer and friend, passed away on 1113 following complications from a previous liver transplant. Fitz was one of Pittsburgh's most influential and gifted finger-pickers, songwriters, teachers and singers. A talented solo performer, he also played in a band called Common Threads (1980s, early 1990s as well as in a revival last year), alongside Anne Feeney for 8 years, duo with Casey Deeley (Uptown) and most recently and frequently in the blues duo Fitzgerald and Beach (with Bob Beach). He also was a 1990 Kerrville songwriting finalist. His talent is well-known nationally and beyond. Whenever Tom Paxton performed in Pittsburgh, he always wanted to be sure D.C. was at his side. Our deepest sympathy is extended to his wife Kathlee and sons Jesse, Nathan and Damon, as well as the many people who will forever hold him in their memories and hearts. This tribute to D.C. culled from SLB performances over the years aired on November 11, 2006
