Psalm 119:105 “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path. I have not played Doom 3 because of many reasons. From a technical aspect one of the reasons for not playing it was it was to poorly lit. A lot of people will argue with me that this is the very reason why this game rocks. But to me, an old guy who started playing video games in the late 70’s this is just annoying. Every night when my wife and I go to bed we have a ritual. It goes something like this. First thing we do is turn off the TV. This is when our cat, W00t, get excited. She loves it when we go to bed, I think it is so she can have the house to herself. Tanya heads to the back of the house and I head to the front. I open the front door and step out onto the porch to make sure the lock is set on the porch door. I then lock the front door. It is at this time that Tanya has already turned out the lights on her way back to the bed room and I am left with little to no light to get to the back of the house. I pretty much know where everything is in the living room, as long as my youngest daughter had not left something out. But as I enter the dinning room I start to swing my right hand back and forth. I am looking for the chairs to our table. These things are solid wood and REALY hurt if you kick them. This has been going on for over two years. Every now and then I catch Tanya and tell her to leave a light on for me. One little light, makes such a difference. We stumble through life in the same way I stumble through my dinning room. We are walking much slower than normal with our hands sweeping from one side to another trying to make sure we do not run into anything that might harm us. But what we need to know is that God’s word, the Bible, will light our path. If we study His Word, we will know how to respond in times of need and times of joy.
