Isaiah 33:22 22 For the LORD is our Judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our King. He will save us. (HCSB) Have you ever been in a contest where there was a judge? You do your best to compete with the other contestants but ultimately it comes down to the judge and what he thinks is the best effort. We hope and pray that this judge is fair and will look at the results in such a way that all people have a chance at being the victor. For some reason this reminds me of olympic figure skating. A few years back the olympic world was a buzz with a scandal concerning judges who where not fair. Judges who did not measure things on equal footing with one another. Judges who would give there outcome based on the highest bidder. Unfortunately many people in our world see those who are judges, or even God as the same type of judge that was involved in the ice skating. They see him as someone who plays favorites and sill do only let those he wants in. The truth is however that God is the ONLY true judge. He is the one who gave the law, so he is more than able to judge it without favoritism. No one is able to be found innocent before God. That is only accomplished by the blood of Jesus.
