Means and Meditations is a destructive and eclectic experimental noise piece from the mind of Mike Vernusky. It won a Digital Art Award in Japan. The Digital Art Award is designed to encourage, support, and promote digital content produced by creative students.<
Means and Meditations was composed primarily with a Serge analog synthesizer and an Emu analog synthesizer, one of my favorites to work with. Also present in the work are field recordings, white noise, and processed gamelan samples. Gamelan is a kind of musical ensemble of Indonesian origin typically featuring a variety of instruments such as metallophones, xylophones, drums, and gongs. Enjoy!
