I remember when I was a kid I always couldfind something better to do than homework.I figured I had the time to get it in. Most of thetime when I did this I did not get it done. WhatI did do was come up with every excuse in theworld you could think of. My personal favoritesinclude it being washed away in a flash flood andbeing unable to do it because I had been kidnappedby Religious Deprogrammers. (A popular approachby some in the 1970's. They would have their kidssnatched because the kids didn't have the same views.)Meanwhile back on point, homework excuses. Iknow them all so I have to almost chuckle when my12 yr old gives me the same lame excuses. You knowit always sounds better in your head but when you put itout there, totally unbelieveable. So I have to play thatDad card and put my foot down.
