SWIndycast|SC #18 Podsafe Music Gets Sold - how it happened Episode
I've been producing about 12 Podcasts with 130+
episodes since September, 2005. After watching the decline of the music industry
for the last 20 years - and when Napster hit the scene, the marketing principle
of "when a superior distribution vehicle emerges, there is nothing that can
stop it's placement . . ." I knew the Podsafe Music Network was going to
make a difference for all of the great artists that have been displaced from
making a living with their music and lifestyle.
I found out about Finniston from listening
to the Tartan Podcast.
I was looking for some Podsafe music for the show I was producing "Camille
Adair-Norwick's Death and Dying - a lifelong practice." Camille is hospice nurse
that weekly interviews leaders and workers in the field of death and dying. We
were looking for music that would have the "feeling" that would set the tone for
her somber but passionate/compassionate Podcast.
I purchased Finniston's CD last year. I
received a personal note from Steven and Jolene with the CD that said:
"We love you for buying our CD. Please feel free to burn it for your friends,
neighbors, bus driver etc. and help spread our music.
Thanks & keep in touch.
Steven & Jolene"
With Steven and Jolene's permission we started
using "Changes" from "popular music that will live forever" as the intro music.
In all the show notes, we mention and link to the Podsafe Music Network and the
web site for Finniston.
Via Camille's Podcast, Finniston is heard in
at least these countries:
USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, France, Germany, Netherlands, Mexico,
Singapore, Philippines, Ireland, New Zealand, Thailand Malaysia, Austria,
Argentina, Brazil, China, Norway, Israel, Japan, India Turkey, Poland, South
Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Puerto Rico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Peru, Czech
Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, and Belgium.
Listen to the comment by Pam Vetter that was
included in the most recent show when she was interviewed by Camille. She
ordered the CD and wants to use Finniston's music in her workshops.
Artists, get you music submitted.
Podcasters, give credit where it is due.
