Massive Multiplayer Online Games, aka MMOGs, are rapidly departing cyberspace - and the world of games, and they are stepping over into the real world. In every field of human endeavor - from business to medicine, from entertainment to economics, MMOGs will increasingly have dramatic influence on everything. They are tremendous innovation facilitators. Companies which dismiss them as toys - well - they were warned. People are living more and more with part of their gray matter in the virtual world of MMOGs - and smart companies will follow them. They aren't just games anymore. They aren't just tools either. MMOGs will interface with the real world in ways we haven't yet imagined - but we should try.
