NPR: All Songs Considered|SXSW 2009: Thursday Update Episode
Once again, Bob, Carrie, Robin and Stephen gathered again in the wee hours on Friday morning to recap NPR's SXSW showcase featuring Thao, Blind Pilot, BLK JKS, K'Naan, Dirty Projectors and Blitzen Trapper. Standing in the streets of Austin, they rundown the other bands they heard as the night wore on — a few favorites, a few new discoveries and a couple chance encounters: Crystal Stilts, Grizzly Bear, Women, Sgt. Dunbar and the Hobo Banned, Laura Gibson, Akkron Family, Vijay Kishore, Passion Pit, Richard Swift and many many more.
