Wendy Carlos explains the process of making "Switched On Bach" in 1967-1968. Just imagine what a task this must have been. Dealing with analog synthesizers that constantly detune. Polyphonic keyboards where not available (so you could only play one key at the time). Touch sensitive keys were new and certainly not ubiquitous. No sequencers were around, don't even mention MIDI. Everything was played live and recorded track by track. This is a true masterpiece and should be in every electronic music lover's collection.
