The Soul Stirrer with embodied faith in action - The Reverend Richard L. Killmer, a Presbyterian minister, is the Executive Director of the National Religious Campaign Against Torture – an interfaith organization of over 230 religious organizations and over 30,000 individuals committed to ending U.S.-sponsored torture.
Previously Richard worked as the program director of the Churches Center for Theology and Public Policy While in that position, he founded the Greater Washington Interfaith Power and Light and co-founded the Muslim-Christian Initiative on the Nuclear Weapons Danger.
In his 40 plus year career Rev. Killmer has ministered in Environmental Justice, Peacemaking, Ending the Vietnam war, Domestic Hunger, Poverty, Child and Family Justice. He is the father of four daughters and is sustained in his efforts by seven grandchildren.
