WOOTcast - The Weekly Comedy Podcast|WOOTcast - Episode 17 Episode
Unlike Woolworths; WOOTcast is here for the long haul, at least until something better comes along (just kidding... but seriously, 6music, get in touch). Number 17 was a good one. Unfortunately because of scheduling issues we found ourselves spreading the content little thin, however we have two extra special bumper podcasts in the works to help see you through to the New Year!
So what’s in this week’s podcast, I hear you cry. Well fear not my feathered friends as the show notes are here to help! Well of course we discuss the inevitable collapse of high street retailer Woolworths. The new UK school curriculum is to include podcasting (bring on the competition, I say) but to drop more traditional subjects like History and Geography. The tables turn for the pirates. Jimmy Carr dedicates his comedy award to Karen Matthews, good humour or a cheap trick? One of my favourite comedians, Russell Brand, also picks up stand up comedian of the year award, despite Sachsgate.
Things That are Crap is back, as always - naming this week’s high-fibre offenders. From Goats to Amy Winehouse, they’re all in there. Finally we also mention a few of the stranger news items from the week, including the story that dogs feel jealousy, 130,000 missing inflatable gag-breasts and the hilarious ‘chav’ nativity that has angered parents.
The podcasts are ad free, help it stay that way by supporting the show - make a donation or buy a t-shirt to help keep the WOOTcast alive.
