The Tale Of the Mutant BananaLiving in a sub tropic climate allows me to growBananas in my back yard. Not just the trees butactual fruit. The only difference between my bananasand Chiquita is the taste and size. Mine are shorter andfat. With an outstanding flavor. So, I was picking a bunchfor a smoothie or two. I noticed one was about 5 or 6 incheswide. Only one stem on top but it had two bottoms. Youknow, the end of the banana. I wondered if it had two insideor just one John Merrick banana. I put it on the counter inthe kitchen and was going to take a picture of it to show you.I figured I would wait until my son came home so I couldopen it with him as a witness. I went in to show him and it wasgone! The wife had used it in a smoothie drink. She said it wastwo bananas in one skin just like I thought.
