In the history of epic border battles, none is more contentious than the one that exists between me and anyone else who tries to play music in my house, and if that person is a teenager, well, it's a given that I'm going to hate whatever they play, even if it's music that I already like. Such is the duality of being a know-it-all music nerd who thinks teenagers, be they pre-teen or post, should be seen and not heard, and quite frankly wishes we could send them all to one of those "scared straight" camps until they are old enough to drink beer.
