Get ready: 80,000 people will descend on Library Square for this weekend's 32nd Annual Utah Arts Festival. They'll find more than 130 visual artists, nearly 100 performing groups and 20 culinary vendors. It's the intersection of art and commerce. Festival Director Lisa Sewell enters KCPW's Public Square to explain the delicate balance. Plus we'll talk about the art of jazz and classical composition, as well as the 2008 Mayor's Artist Awards. Guests include festival commission directors Henry Wolking (jazz) and John V. Costa (classical).Plus an Urban Arts track will highlight hip hop culture and graffiti artists.
