Der lange Streit um eine Neuregelung der KfZ-Steuer ist beigelegt. Der Koalitionsausschuss hat sich grundsätzlich mal auf zwei Dinge verständigt: in Zukunft kassiert der Bund die KfZ-Steuer und nicht mehr die Länder, und die Steuer-Höhe richtet sich ab 2010 nicht mehr nach dem Hubraum sondern nach dem Schadstoffausstoß der Autos.
