He enters, delivers his soliloquy and admits that he'd do anything to win the hand of this mistress. Interestingly enough, he doesn't even know her name yet! Miranda enters (with Prospero following, but eavesdropping on thme both) and tells Ferdinand she could help him with his labor. What is all of this about? It is a short and sweet little scene where we get to see Ferdinand and Miranda developing their relationship, and perhaps more importantly, we watch Prospero watching them. What is the significance of this? Enjoy!
