Mark Barbagallo (formerly Dj Ultimate) is without a doubt one of Miami's top up and coming DJ’s. Born and raised in Connecticut, Mark became fascinated by music at an early age. Originally inspired by the captivating club music of the late 80's and early 90's, he quickly came to the realization that music isn’t just a form of entertainment; but a way of life. Mark’s personal obsession with electronic dance music matured over the following years leading to the launch of his DJ career. He embraced the DJ art-form and soon became known for his unique taste in music and his uncanny ability to control the dance floor. Mark understood that countless hours of practice, hard work and dedication was the only way to succeed in the music industry. This quickly paid off as he landed his first nightclub residency at the age of 18. His nightclub resume continued to grow steadily as he began performing at venues throughout Connecticut and the entire North East. Included were regular appearances at Ultra 88 Nightclub inside the world’s second largest casino, the Mohegan Sun Resort Casino. In December of 2006 Mark relocated to Miami and soon thereafter earned a Saturday night residency at one of South Beach’s newest ultra lounges, Dek23. In addition, since his arrival, Mark has played at some of South Florida’s most prestigious venues including Nikki Beach, B.E.D., Pearl, Blue Martini and Nikki Marina and is quickly earning a solid reputation in the Miami music scene. Mark’s bi-weekly podcast mixshow The Global Groove, which debuted in September of 2007 is also making waves as the number of subscribers continues to rise and more and more people are getting a taste of what this young & talented DJ is capable of. Constantly striving for perfection, his impeccable mixing and track selection create a vibe that will, no doubt, hypnotize any audience.
