Your Neighborhood Stage|Episode 2.43: Publicity Ideas (with Charles King from Geneva Theatre Guild), News and "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" Episode
October 29, 2007: Publicity Ideas (with Charles King from Geneva Theatre Guild), News and "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"Â2007 by Neighborhood Stage Productions, LLC
This
week we suffered "Interview Failure". Our scheduled spotlight interview for the week fell through. So we went deep into our archives to pull out an interview we did with Charles King, who, at the time, was the Publicity Manager for the Geneva Theatre Guild in Geneva, NY. Charles offered some great tips and suggestions on preparing publicity for a theatre group.
Also, while we were in the archives, we grabbed a "Show of the Week" segment we aired in October, 2006. Shirley Sacks, Guest Artistic Director with Theatre Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Florida and a drama teacher at Stanton Prep in Jacksonville, tells us about "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest".
We continue our "Broadway News (in five minutes or
less)" segment, have some more community theatre news, our "Editors
Gone Wild" headline segment, and,
of course, tell you "What's New to Do!"
We are looking for what shows your organization and those in your area are producing for the holiday season. Email us at podcast@neighborhoodstage.com with the list. We need the information for a special project we are working on.Don't forget to add yourself to our FRAPPR map. See it and add your pin.
