THE FRANK GASPERIK MEMORIAL FILK MUSIC EPISODE. Being unable to attend the official memorial service and filk sing afterward, we mount our own ‘mini-memorial’ filk concert for L.A. SF Fandom stalwart and Filk community favorite Frank Gasperik . Bill gives some thoughts on the passing of his old friend in preface of performances by Bill of six filk songs, three of which were recorded just for the program. The line up includes: ‘Little Teeny Eyes’, ‘Ship Of Stone’, ‘Bouncing Potatoes’, ‘Bones’ Song’, ‘Revenge For Alderon’ (with Roxie Mills on lead vocal), ‘Mary O’Meara’... and one new filk written for Frank by Bill called ‘Gasperik Was A Filker’ (to the tune of ‘Stewball’). Join us as we hoist our virtual glass and sing a few in loving memory of a memorable man (1942 – 2007 R.I.P.).
