LUDDITES The world is a scary place. And every day, it’s getting scarier. Terrifying times to be a parent. Some days, you just want to take your precious children, lock them away from the world, and throw away the key. And that is exactly what Eve does. Is it legal? If those children live an idyllic life in a beautiful woodland retreat, home schooled and spoiled rotten, is it legal? What if they never meet another human being? And so can never be hurt…Is that moral? Or immoral? Meet three victims of today’s ultra-violent society: The wealthy and eccentric Eve, determined to protect her children at all costs, driven by a terrible secret that haunts her dreams and tortures her waking hours. The Vagrant--a former Navy Seal who learns of the imprisoned children, and decides to free them from their over-protective mother. Plagued by nightmares of what happened to his own son, the homeless man comes to think of these children as his own, and his passion to give them a normal life drives him as hard as any father. But how to do it, when he doesn’t even have a roof over his head? Finally, the recovering heroin addict, Symphony. Shamed by the way she treated her own children during her years of addiction, Symi is as dedicated to Eve’s children as any mother could be, and she spends every waking moment of her life taking perfect care of them, even though she knows how wrong it is that these children will never be permitted outside the high walls of the woodland retreat.
