“我但說無妨 寫你這首歌”Over a couple of hours in January-February 2007, I wrote a new song, “給你我的愛”. This is my second ever Chinese song (the first, “新的开始” was written some six years ago in January 2001) - again in Mandarin Chinese rather than my native Cantonese (so apologies for any wrong words/pronunciations!). It tells the story of two of my Sims' lives.I wrote the music and lyrics beginning on 26 January using a mixture of a keyboard, GarageBand and a chinese dictionary; terrorised my flatmates on Valentine’s Day by recording myself singing, and then videoed the life of two Sims in my SimCity for a day after that. Then, it was just a mixture of snap, crackle and pop (er, snip, cut and paste) using iMovie on 20 February - ready for a simultaneous 21 February release on podcast and various web video services.給你我的愛 (林詩雋)Words, Music and Video Copyright © 2007 Si Chun LAM.
