Park Board Announces 313 Deer Killed In Phase One Of Shawnee Mission Cull

In a statement yesterday, the Board said sharpshooters had completed efforts to reduce the number of deer in the park. Meat from the 313 animals will be inspected for safety, then given to Harvesters. Water and sewer projects lead to jobs. As part of the "Get to Work, Missouri" program, Governor Jay Nixon went to a job site in Kansas City to herald a $266 million statewide initiative.
