The song ‘Here the whistle blow…a hundred miles’ by Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs inspired Rajesh Roshan’s Hindi version. ‘Jab Koi Baat Bigar jaye’ comes as an excellent adaptation with some great lyrics! I’ve tried to combine these two masterpieces- Roshan’s ‘Jab Koi’ and the classic ‘Five Hundred Miles’ the true spirit of which was later caught by the quieter renditions by ‘The Kingston Trio’.
