From TxDOT's Statewide Podcast: Loop 49, a proposed outer loop to Tyler, languished on the drawing board for more than 40 years from a lack of funding. Special Edition: Wildflowers: Ends Justifying The Means

From TxDOT's Statewide Podcast, found at www.keeptexasmoving.com: Texas has always been known for its natural beauty. A good portion of that natural beauty centers on the state's robust wildflower crops each spring that seem to pop up right next to the highways. Is that a coincidence? Not for a moment. In fact, wildflower crops are actually a by-product of a much larger and nearly anonymous area of TxDOT's daily operations.
