Aoki's Shave Ice from hawaii on Vimeo. President's Day 2008 was a spectacularly beautiful day of sun and blue skies, considering the usually grey weather of February. I also unexpectedly had the day off from work. So after a visit to the neighborhood pool, the family and I drove up to Haleiwa for shave ice. Hawaii got its second Apple Store today at Kahala Mall. First in line, at 3 a.m., was Dean Masai. And before the opening, the store was blessed by Hawaiian chant and hula.
