Ride to Marblehead & Catawba Island

This trip had been in the works for several weeks, and it almost fell through. Ten people were slated to go, but half backed out just one hour before we were supposed to put the kickstands up. Riding through Ohio Amish Country

I shot this video with my digital camera while riding through Ohio Amish Country. The camera was mounted to the handlebars with a RAM Mount. Schedel Gardens

After finishing my NATCA day, Susan and I rode to Elmore, Ohio, to visit the Schedel Arboretum and Gardens. The ride there was a bit interesting. Google Maps let us down. We ended up just outside of Fremont before we decided to turn around. After riding through some of NW Ohio's farmland, we arrived at the gardens. It is a huge garden with different themes throughout. Glass City Skyway

Today, I took my first ride over the Veteran's Glass City Skyway bridge on the way to Maumee Bay State Park. Traffic was insane as expected, but I'm glad I took that way to the park. Finally Got to Ride

Temperatures got into the upper 50s today, so I started up the bike and hit the road for a few minutes. Rain was approaching from the West, so my ride wasn't quite as long as I had wanted it to be. I also tried out a new toy. It's the ATC2K from Oregon Scientific, and it seemed to do OK. The microphone on it is shielded, so the recorded sound is horrible. In September 2008, the crew from Lucas County Choppers will take a few motorcycles and a Jeep on a trip from Toledo, Ohio, along the west coast of Lower Michigan to the Mackinac Bridge. Long Way Round

I found out about this documentary over at Rippin-Kitten. Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman decided to film their motorcycle trip from London to New York City by taking the Long Way Round through Europe and Asia. Ride to OCC in Jackson

Today, I rode the bike up to the Orange County Choppers authorized dealer in Jackson, Michigan. The dealer's name is G Force Customs. They have been around for about a year and are the only authorized OCC dealership in our area. G Force's showroom is an old firehouse, but they will be moving to a new location in the next few months.
